This is not a real bloggery. It is a placeholder for questions and comments from readers of a column I write for a new ezine. The column is called ASK PAT, and it’s pretty much self-explanatory. Ask Pat for writing tips, for suggestions on how to overcome writer’s block, what to do when your spouse belittles your work. (Yeah, right, like I’d really answer that one! You know better than I what it takes to deal with him or her.) If you have questions or comments, feel free to leave them here. Even if I have no response, at least it will give me an idea about what people would like to know.

How did you convince your family & friends that calling you all hours of the day was an interruption? It’s like calling you at work.

That’s a very good question. If I come up with an answer, I’ll use it in the column next time.

Many times (too many to count) I have come across writers (mostly online) who will proudly call themselves a “writer”, but for some reason don’t think they’ve earned the title “author”.
It’s as if somehow the title “author” has been placed high on some pedestal that mere “writers” can only dream of reaching.
Perhaps you can shed some light on the author vs. writer myth for all of the “I’m a writer, but not yet an author”‘s out there.
