Everyone who leaves a comment on this post will be entered in Second Wind Publishing’s best contest ever — a chance to win a copy of every title Second Wind will publish in 2011. (People outside of the United States will win ebooks. Those inside the United States can choose and either ebooks or print books.) This will include a copy of my upcoming novel Light Bringer, which is scheduled to be released in the spring of 2011. (Suzanne Francis, author of The Song of the Arkafina Series, and first person ever to read my new book said Light Bringer is “brilliant.” My favorite word!)
Light Bringer tells the story of Becka Johnson, who had been abandoned on the doorstep of a remote cabin in Chalcedony, Colorado when she was a baby. Now, thirty-seven years later, she has returned to Chalcedony to discover her identity, but she only finds more questions. Who has been looking for her all those years? Why are those same people interested in fellow newcomer Philip Hansen? Who is Philip, and why does her body sing in harmony with his? And what do either of them have to do with a shadow corporation that once operated a secret underground installation in the area?
So be sure to leave a comment. If you don’t want to receive mailings from Second Wind about other promotions and new releases, let me know. You will still be entered into the contest. Also, three people chosen at random will win an ecopy of one of my published books — your choice! (Pick from the three on the right sidebar of this blog.) Both contests end at midnight on December 30, 2010.
Best of luck to all of you.

This is the best contest ever. I love reading! Hopefully next year I would get to publish my own book which I’m working towards to doing.
December 15, 2010 at 1:05 pm
This is definitely the best and most unique contest I’ve ever come across, but as an avid reader, it’s absolutely perfect. Another good contest idea would be to publish a book or story for free for the winner, or do an essay contest with unique and out there ideas. Or an easy contest of finishing a story that the writer is only given the first one to three paragraphs of. It would definitely help bring out people’s creativity and entertain the judge or judges. Just some ideas you can toss around if you want.

I’m in – love book contests – over the past year and a half – have entered several contests just by leaving comments and have won two or three books – sometimes surprisingly so when the book shows up because I totally had forgotten about it. – I want lots of mysteries – lol – but I’ll be happy with anything if I win. Good luck to all who enter – see you in the postings

December 14, 2010 at 9:11 am
This is wonderful. I love to read and to have a chance of maybe winning books is wonderful and when I get done with any books I own, I donate them to our little public library here to give others a chance to read decent books. I would be lost without my library here in town as I am on limited income and for me to buy a book is very rare. Thank you for the chance and God bless.
December 14, 2010 at 10:01 am

December 18, 2010 at 7:55 am
This sounds like a fantastic contest. I love to read and even with having given away over 1000 in the last 4 years still have 4 bookcases full plus the ones in storage that I switchout seasonally. I read all my book atleast once a year so some new ones would be nice. I just lost over half of my ebooks when my 10 lb kitten decided my laptop needed a drink of water. I think he also took the flash drive that I had copied them to since that is also missing. Good thing I love him.

I really wish I could win this! I am an avid reader! I have a hard time keeping up with the latest books bc usually new books at the library are always checked out =[. Also, i would enjoy having copies of my own because I have never really been able to secure my own copies due to the fact my family has no money. =[ It would be a blessing to win a contest like this.
